Second playing mode is Rally, where you can compete against users from around the world, trying to beat their scores and you can also impress more Toads to come into your kingdom.
In third playing mode you build your own kingdom, after it has been destroyed by Bowser. You build your kingdom by placing buildings and other elements. In order for your kingdom to grow, you will have to collect coins and attract Toads, to unlock more buildings and other items.
